Marquise & Baguette Diamond Cut
The marquise diamond has an elongated, curved body with pointed tips and is said to resemble a small boat, leading it to often be referred to as “navette” shaped, which means “little ship” in French. The long body gives this modified brilliant cut diamond a unique reflection, while the inimitable shape demands attention.
The baguette diamond is characterized by the clean, geometric lines of its step-cut faceting. Narrow in shape and naturally more elongated than an emerald cut, the baguette diamond was popularized for its modern form during the Art Deco period.
