One morning meeting, we realized that when it comes to our favorite brands, we don’t know much beyond the product, and that's something we wanted to work towards changing. So we’re introducing each team member as a way to get to know us all a little better. This week, meet Kimberly: our in house photographer. Chances are, you've seen bits of her in our Instagram photos.
Position: In House Photographer
Started: January 2016
What do you do at Vrai and Oro?
I’m the photographer here.
Where are you from?
What was your dream job as a child?
I wanted to be an actor as a child because I kind of wanted to do it all and be it all. I thought that if I were to become an actor, I would be able to live out so many dreams in one. I was also amazed by the amount of raw emotion that a human being experiences in any given moment, so I dreamt of giving life to those characters and stories as a little girl. I used to be extremely embarrassed by this since it’s a very typical goal in LA, but as I got older I really let go of it. I realized that there was a true foundation behind my desire and it was never about the money or fame that comes along with it.
If you could summarize yourself into an emoji, what would it be?
🐺Vrai and Oro is based around three key values (quality, simplicity, transparency). What are your personal key values?
When do you feel most comfortable?
With Raphael (editor's note: her husband).
What’s currently inspiring you?
What song do you think best describes your personality?
Lovers’ Carvings by Bibio.
What’s your favorite V&O memory?
I think it would have to be the day I came in for my first in person interview. It was January and there was a huge storm happening at the time. I was nervous and I remember my voice shaking as I spoke, but I like to look back on that day a lot.
