Two weeks ago we launched #IAmVO, a campaign aimed to include our customers (that’s you) in our modeling process for our newly launched website. We wanted to feature our pieces on people who support our brand, not in an overly staged studio production way, to give a more realistic idea of how they look in the day to day. The response was overwhelming, and after careful consideration by the whole team we selected three amazing women who all brought something unique to the table. Let’s meet them:
DAY 1: Rebekkah - Rebekkah was the first to visit the V&O Studio, and we wish she’d come spend everyday with us. A jack of all trades, she is a photographer, music maker, and baby toting scholar with an incredibly inviting personality. We love her olive complexion, bright smile, and “up for whatever” attitude. Find her here.
DAY 2: Beth - Day two of the #IAmVO shoot brought Beth to the studio, and again we couldn’t believe our luck. A natural in front of–and behind–the camera (she’s a photographer), we loved hanging out with her all day. Her Scandinavian look + light blonde “lob” was perfect for shooting earrings, and the double ear piercing didn’t hurt, either. Find her here.
Day 3: Tomomi - We finished off the #IAmVO campaign with a bang; Tomomi was the last of the three girls to visit the studio. She is knitwear designer from Japan who has spent time on both coasts, finally landing herself in Los Angeles just a few short years ago. We loved talking to her about her travels, minimalist design, and owning a small business. She was a natural in front of the camera as well, wrapping up all of her looks in less than two hours! Find her here.
Working with these three was an absolute pleasure; even having their presence in the studio was refreshing. To all who entered, thank you for reminding us of the diversity amongst our audience, for allowing us to highlight our differences, and for the ability showcase our collection on the people who wear it the most–yourselves. We are really excited about this project, grateful for the opportunity, and can’t wait to see where else it takes us. We're working hard to sort through photos, select our favorites, and get them up on the site– so be sure to check back in a few weeks.
